Dave – Matthew is such a man. Drinking fine wine in Oregon decked out in an Arkansas Razorback T-shirt – that’s Matt. (There’s more to him than that, but great guy!) Matthew and the Strategic Incubator always hooks his members up with great interviews like this one. How did you split the screen? What service did you guys use?
I agree with Dave Reveley: Matthew Ray Scott is a Rennaissance man. I’m a huge fan of Matthew and the strategic incubator. It looks like he dressed up for the interview – the “Trunk Club” probably helped him with the fine threads!
Scott Jordan & Matthew Ray Scott:
I was so inspired by your interview, I bought a ScotteVest… can’t wait to check it out on my next trip. I hope you reply to Randy Vaughn’s question about the split screen – that was very impressive. We’d like to know how you did that.
What a great way to start off my morning before heading to a big meeting regarding business development. It is always great to listen to Matthew’s ideas and I am already excited to start following Scottevest
Sounds like Lucy has potential of a nice career !
Add me to the list of big Matthew Scott fans. The best keep secret on the web, in my opinion. It’s only a matter of time before the secret gets out, despite his low-profile approach.
Great dialogue guys – glad I came over from the incubator. Really useful discussion for those of us not yet on the leading edge; but trying to find our way there.
As usual, great insight…this time on making sense of all the online tools and consolidating outgoing communication into something manageable in my day. What do you guys see happening to what seems like the over-abundance of social media sites in the future?
I agree, people are definitely overwhelmed with all the information. I find myself having to unsubscribe from a lot of e-newsletters and now creating a marketing plan to manage social media, content, etc.
About the blog comments, we talked about this on the Plus-Size Business Tele-Summit. Never use the number of comments you get as a way to measure the success of your blog.
Also liked the idea of having one single marketing message; so critical.
You guys break it down with no BS. Thanks for keeping it real and keeping it light. As a social media consultant, I value staying up to date with the latest, so this interview was SUPER valuable in seeing how I might message ideas to clients. In particular, there tends to be a lot of fear around adopting social media, over 100 options is just crippling. Good advice on how to handle that.
Timely interveiw for you two to put together. I’m “friends” with both of you on Facebook and laughed to myself when I saw the Scottevest ad in the SkyMall magazine on my Delta flight. There are possibly too many venues for advertizing and unrequested information out there. There has to be a decent solution for appropriate information delivery to the appropriate target (be it a friend or target customer).
Enjoyed the interview, always great to partake in one of Matthew’s strategic incubator segments. Information overload and determining the most effective means to reach a target audience is challenging. I learned a lot and look forward to hearing more.
I’m a fan of Matthew Ray Scott’s and found this place because of The Strategic Incubator. Cool stuff, think I need to become a SeV Fan on Facebook!

Matthew Scott is a true Rennaissance man – anybody who uses the phrase “paradox of choice” must be a deep thinker who enjoys microbrew.
