We are adding a bunch of new colors for our new hoodies and microfleece pullovers. Please vote below. Thanks!
I'd say take the second row in that image, and replace the darkest blue (first one from the left) with the black from the top row, then offer those 5 colors (black, blue-gray, stoney, taupe/tan, burnt orange).
I do prefer the darker colors.
When are you guys gonna make some jeans? SeV's are great, but, for those of us that need to blend in, not everyone wears dockers wherever they go, and the Ultimate Cargo pants, last time I purchased some, anyway, couldn't stand up to the beating that my gear tends to go through. I bought three pair and they were worn out within 3 months. Don't get me wrong, I love the heck out of them; my favorite SeV pants design yet, and I rightly acknowledge that they certainly weren't designed for the kind of Beating that they received, but still.....

I prefer the darker colors, too. SeV has done some brighter colors in the past, but the line always seems to settle out on darker/muted colors. The Moss Hoodie or Microfleece Pullover actually go surprisingly well with the olive/green t-shirts, but I digress....
Jeans may be in our future... nothing is ruled out. We've spoken a bit about C.S.T... Civilian Styled Tactical... as a concept to explore. On Scott's blog here (http://scottevest.blogspot.com/search?q=motorcycle) we were having a bit of a conversation about motorcycle jackets and other hard-use gear. I think it's amazing the amount of rigorous use we put our stuff through, and then I see how some other guys put it through its paces. R&D can be fun....
If you have specific thoughts, let us know... they might just make it into the next product.

Well, in response to both your post and Mr. Jordan's blog, I have no experience with motorcycle stuff. Despite my current civilian status, most of my thoughts WILL come from a tactical perspective. With that having been said, my MAIN complaints with SeV products are: 1) Lack of durability. This has mainly been a problem with the PANTS, oddly enough. The Ultimate Cargos simply wear out too quickly. I once bought three pair; I loved the design. Ultimately, I would replace the metal dongle on the zip-off knees with 550 cord and plastic (ala Blackhawk.com) for the sake of auditory stealth, but there was almost no noise from the fabric itself. This was counteracted by the fact that the fabric (linen, IIRC) wore out at a horrifyingly rapid rate; all three pair were toast within 90 days (disgusting for a 100 dollar pair of pants). And this performance doesn't even include crawling through through the mud, blood, and the beer (again, a Johnny Cash-ism). The Hidden Cargo Pants fared far better, in a sense. My main issues with those were that the magnets (consistently) fell out after being washed; not really an issue since the pants function almost better without the magnets as with, once you get used to them. After that, I would say that the finish on the Hidden Cargo Pant scuffs too easily (and too permanently). While I admit that I would like to see the Ultimate Cargo Pants in a much more durable configuration, I also note that a number of other companies (including 5.11) have put out both cargo pants and dockers' style dress pants; what's missing, IMHO, is some good tactical concealed style jeans (in both black and blue). I, personally would like to see some jeans with the SeV 6-7 pocket style and a key holder ala Ultimate Cargo Pant (and preferably backward compatible with same; despite the fact that the pants themselves are long gone, I've adapted that feature to my existing jeans with a little "cut-and-paste" technology). The cut of the jeans should vary some, but, given trends in existing urban clothing, both myself and LEOs would probably say the more relaxed the initial cut, the better. Also, speaking as someone who constantly carries a weapon wherever he goes, I would also like a little extra slack in the wasteband in such a design. And a belt designed to interface with the V-clip (a high-durability velcro clip) on Comp-Tac.com C.T.A.C Holsters, although, to be fair to the weapon-toting community, SeV should, if they intend to interface with weaponry, design a range of products to interface with a range of holsters. The Prime holster companies that come to my mind are as follows: Bianchi (USAF Security Forces, US Army MPs), Safariland (USMC Force Recon), and BlackHawk SERPA (various DOD, LEO, and Federal LEO) for open carry, and US Galco (various DOD and Gov't and Civilian CCW) and Comp-Tac holsters for concealed carry.
(END PART ONE; SEE PART TWO BELOW....)
For the most part, though, I can't really fault the SeV designs; they've always done what I need them to. I suppose that a little more streamlining of the pockets may be in order; they tend to bulk too quickly for visual stealth (though they do handle the weight very well) when carrying age amounts of gear.
2) Lack of Color. Color is everything amongst today's world. Especially with as many young'uns getting involved in crime, these days. I would like to see a wider range of colors in SeV products. Especially the darker colors.
3) More variety of products. Jeans and belts are a prime example. Most of SeV's designs are for casual or semi-casual use; I would like to see products outside of that range which still have the durability for use in a combat environment. Formal or super-casual products that would have some durability for tactical purposes, for example.
Well, there you have it. You asked, and you shall receive. I actually expect that very few of these thoughts will see market; it's mostly what the market will bear, and y'all have the marketing data, but these are just some thoughts that may or may not prove useful to you folks at Sev. Thanks for listening.

I like the browns and blacks myself. I guess living in Vegas you get used to seeing brown all the time so it starts to grow on you ;)
I think a khaki/stone color would be good as well.
Following up on the other comments, I'd love to see a Black blazer done SeV style. Could swap out my black suit jacket for that and carry all myself while in a suit :)

Hi Endr - Thanks again for your thorough and really thoughtful comments. If every comment we get is 100% positive, it would not be possible for us to improve products, and we do take critiques to heart just as much as praise (if not more so).
Items like the Ultimate Cargo and Hidden Cargo were developed for a range of purposes and not specifically for office-workers or for tactical applications or for any other single group. That said, we love our tactical guys and want to put out products that fit their needs. We've gotten suggestions from some groups (known by capital letters) that have made it into past designs and into some pending products as well. Nothing falls on deaf ears, and each evolution of design benefits from what we learn on the last.
As far as jeans go, I don't know why this has not been approached before (it may actually have been on the table). There are always 100x more ideas than can be put into production, but you've hit the nail on the head several times with your suggestions on this board. Jeans are a good one. Definitely a relaxed cut of some sort to avoid printing, and a design that has a classic look. I shake my head at companies who advertise a 'trademarked' design for tactical pants... might as well be wearing a uniform in that case.
Colors are important, of course, but there's not an exact science to picking which ones will work best for us. Black and khaki are classics, but things like dark earth, loden green, navy blue or an SeV version of coyote could happen. The trick is getting enough interest from the Multi-tasker community in the sub-colors for it to make sense to stock all the sizes we need. Not to sound like a broken record, but this is a big year for us... we're going to be surprising a few people (in a great way), and I hope that you are one of them.
