SCOTTEVEST/SeV (http://www.scottevest.com) is the home of some great TWiT swag, including the Twit Logo Hat (http://www.scottevest.com/v3_store/twit_hat.shtml). We have offered other Twit Pride stuff before and we really want to create some more products for the Twit and Geek Community. This is where you come in.

As of… right now… we are launching a competition to design the new “Twit/Geek Army Uniform” as explained in this short recap video and the “whole story” video.

We’re not going to be developing a whole line of clothing to start, but we do have a brand new Cotton Hoodie in the pipeline, and this will be your canvas. We want some awesome ideas for the royal Twit/Geek treatment (although it need not include "TWiT" or the logo itself. This is to be a design applied to the SCOTTEVEST clothing that is inspired by, appreciated by and in homage to all things Twit/Geek.

We’ve considered embroidery and/or silk-screening – all ideas are fair game at this point. One cool idea is presented here (http://www.tokbox.com/vm/y22sow0vf5h8), but using perhaps a combination of logos/text of TWiT, Leo, SCOTTEVEST, SeV, TEC, our US Patent No., pictures/sketches of various gadgets, binary code, and/or established in 2000, etc. You get the idea..

If your idea is the best, you’ll win $500 in SeV merchandise.

“But what if I’m not an artist?” you say. We still want to know what you want, what you NEED in Twit/Geek-inspired apparel. We are all ears, so post away!

Here are the general guidelines (more details to follow and in response to questions posted here in this forum):

* We are looking for graphic designs to apply to our new SCOTTEVEST Cotton Hoodie that really capture the Twit/Geek experience, but just look COOL in general. The Cotton Hoodie looks a lot like our Microfleece Hoodie (http://www.scottevest.com/v3_store/40_hoodie.shtml), but this is a brand new product that will launch with YOUR design on it. To get an inside look at all the cool features for gadget lovers, check out the full sketches (http://www.scottevest.com/twitarmy/CottonHoodiePlans.zip)here.
* It need not use the word or logo TWiT, but should appeal to the TWiT army.
* This Twit Army Hoodie will be made in Charcoal Grey as the base color.
* Designs can be specified as embroidery, silk-screening, but we don’t expect you to know the ins and outs of clothing design. Understand that we may need to modify designs to make them more practical for production.
* We think tone-on-tone designs are really cool, but we’re not going to limit your creativity so have at it.
* We believe that the design should appear on the front chest panel or panels only, but let us know if you disagree.
* We will own any designs presented, and we reserve the right to offer 2nd, 3rd etc. place prizes for lesser amounts if there are a ton of good ideas presented.
* Do you want the real inside track about what we’re looking for?

How to do it:

* Download the SCOTTEVEST Template (http://www.scottevest.com/twitarmy/EntryForm.jpg)to sketch on
* E-mail your entry to twit@scottevest.com and enter as many times as you like
* Please include your name and e-mail address in your note
* All submissions need to reach SeV before August 20, 2008, and all submissions become the property of SCOTTEVEST
* Have questions? Post them on our this thread or visit the SeV Forum for more details-link to follow

I know I am forgetting some details, but please post questions here and/or email me at twit@scottevest.com, and I will answer them. Thanks so very much.

Don't forget to scroll up and review the embedded short recap video and the “whole story” video at the top of this post.
