Greetings,

Well I am happy to provide a long delayed review. I have been putting off this review pending weather. Why? you ask. well to be honest I wanted to test it out in the snow and it only just started snowing here.

Ok basics.
It has tons of space just like everyone else has already mentioned.
It has less bulge than any other jacket I have ever owned or seen.
It is very comfortable, some people have asked me if with all the pockets and loops and zippers, is truly comfortable? I am happy to report 100% YES.

Ok before I go on let me also add that I work in an office environment and I wear it as a vest during the day and put the sleeves back on before I leave. I have never had a negative comment. So thats a plus also. Add a dress shirt and tie and your good to go.

I carry a ton of gear in this fleece. I am the first aid person for my floor and I can literally carry everything I need on me, also a huge bonus.

Northern Review
Ok now to the reason I waited to review the Fleece. I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada and winters here are polar bear cold. Most of this week it has been below zero and this weekend we are headed down to -20 or worse.

I dug up an old average quality windbreaker and this thing is closer to low quality than good quality so keep that in mind. When I put the windbreaker on over the fleece I have had no problems with the weather.

So I am very happy to report that although it may not be sold as a severe winter item, the fleece 5.0 does very well when you add a simple wind breaker to it. I can only imagine what it would be like if I had added one of the ScottEvest shell type jackets to it.

I should also mention that the fleece zipper goes up far enough that my neck is protected very well.

While I have no plans to go frolic in the outdoors at 20 below I will put on my fleece, a windbreaker, gloves and a hat and see how I feel. I will report back after the weekend. I have to say that at this time I have no doubth that I will be toasty warm.

Awesome Job guys this fleece is top quality and gets the official Canadian North Winter Seal of Approval....well its as official as it gets considering I just made it up but you get the idea.

Ok folks true test of the Fleece this week. As mentioned before it has been Cold here, and it got really bad we hit -26 and with the wind chill it was -36 down to a mind numbing -41

I need to remind you that I added a windbreaker to the Fleece. I would not suggest wearing just the fleece at these temps but with the windbreaker added I was good to go. Again keep in mind it is a marginal quality windbreaker taken from an old 3 in 1 jacket I had buried in the closet. With a high quality windbreaker that results may be better.

Now all the fleece needs to make it winter perfect is a velcro section that is like the collar wire guide..but for the wrist. It would keep the velcro hidden for most of the year but when needed it could be exposed to lock gloves in place.

Once again I am happy to say I love the fleece. ***** stars! :)
