thanks for all the comments
Hi Everyone
I really appreciate all the comments and discussion on this thread. Perhaps we should break out some sub-threads to continue the relevant discussion, e.g., concealed carry, etc.
Thanks.
Scott

Scott - I set up some breakout threads for us based on "Who Are You?" here - Who Are You?
Now we just need to fill them up!

Application for the Secret Pocket Club
Hi! I just joined the forum!
* When/where did you first hear about SeV
At the Spy Museum in Washington DC
* Which SeV products do you have
I have the ballcap, the camo pullover fleece and a black pullover fleece. Love 'em!
* A story or photos of your experience with our products would be great! (We will, of course, have the right to use your story/images on our site... so if you don't want it displayed, don't send it!)
No specific story, just that they're awesome for walking my dogs - bags, gloves, leashes, water, treats, ... they all fit in my fleece! I'm saving up for the Fleece 5.0 - it looks great!

Great product
I first heard of Scottevest through the TWIT podcast.
I have the hat, fleece, tactical jacket, polo shirt, sweet shirt and the vest.
I get a lot of comments about the cool gear and want to know where to get their own.
Scottevest is a great company with an even greater product.

I don't own any of the Scott clothes yet. I found this last year because my wife has Raynaud's Disease. She get's so cold her skin turns a glossy yellow. This is very near tissue death. I am buying her a lot of this stuff for this winter. In another month, I will have saved enough to get her a coat and a couple of shirts. Here in Wyoming, as bad as the wind blows, you can get wind burn and that doesn't even consider the wind chill. So, if you need to stay warm, protected, and frostbite free. Buy as much as possible of Scott and layer, layer, layer!

secret pockets eh
hi all,
man its a pain to get cool things like sev down under (luckily i have a mate over there who can pass it onto me along with other american purchases). got a classic vest 4.0 back in the start of '07 from thinkgeek after doing a mass order for myself and some friends.
and then just before i went on a three week trip to hk/china i ordered two qzips. best decision i've made in a while; hk/china during june/july is like walking into a sauna. having the chest pocket to keep cash and cards was a lifesaver, wasn't too keen on being pick pocketed. i'm sure i've got some photos with the stuff on, but my camera got wrecked when someone bumped into me and knocked my camera to the ground.
hit me back if you want any more details, cheers.

Secret Pocket Club Still Open?
I also just joined the forum. I have had 3 Scott EVest jackets. I currently have the Tactical 4.0. I am thinking about getting the Evolution jacket due to a change in my body weight.
I was emailing Laura Jordan this morning and she told me about the Quantum model. I saw the video and I think the Evolutiion may stilll be my next jacket.
Is the Secret Pocket Club closed for new members?
Regards,
Andy Cheng

SeV
Wow- I first heard about Scottevest way back I think it was in 1996 or 97. At Disneyland no less. They were part of the presentation in Tomorrowland's future products display. I LOVED the idea-being a theme park screamer-and having a jacket that I could wear in the park, on rides and not worry about stuff falling out. However- that was version 1- and it was really made for colder climates- not the southwest- so it was hot- even with the sleeves zipped off. I've followed Scottevest through the years- and was estatic when they came out with the fleece one- PERFECT for southwest winters- not too warm, functional and very stylish. Now, if we could merge SeV with Bass Pro's Red Head lightweight fishing shirts with SPF protection- I wouldn't need to shop anywhere else!

I normally don't join clubs, but....
This sounds like my kind of club. I have odd tastes in collections. I collect modern custom made damascus knives by some of the most talented artisans in the world. I am a hopeless gadget guy and travel a lot internationally. I also like the ovadafut brand socks by VK Nagrani ( www.vknagrani.com) That's where I heard about SeV. The Nagrani fans are in to clothes so I checked you out on bladeforums.com and styleforums.com. Then I called and spoke with you. I bought 2 pair hidden cargo pants and a jacket. Later bought a leather jacket. It is now in your shop for a zipper repair.
I am now ordering another pair of slacks and the polo....
Fix my leather jacket and I'll post a blog pic/review!
also ordered the signature system... gret price....
